Hamilton - John - arrested for robbery

John Hamilton, a farm hand of near Veedersburg, was arrested Monday on the charge of being the robber who shot James Kessler, near Hillsboro. The circumstantial evidence is very damaging against him although he stoutly asserts his innocence.

Veedersburg, Aug 14 – John Hamilton has been arrested for shooting and robbing James Hesler some three weeks ago. At a preliminary hearing yesterday he waived examination and was committed for grand jury action.
