The second annual reunion of the Clawson family was held at Portland Arch Sunday. About 50 members of the family were present. At noon a basket dinner was served and in the afternoon a program diversified with games, stories and speeches was presented. The Clawson family is Scotch-Irish in descent and first came to this county in about 1800 and settled in New York State. In 1827 they moved to Butler County Ohio and shortly after came to Fountain County and settled near Rob Roy.  At the close of the program and festivities an election of officers was held and the following were selected: Harry Clawson, president; Mrs. Ruby Bell of Newtown sec. and treas. The next reunion will be held at Portland Arch the second Sunday in August 1923. Those present were: Mr. and Mrs. Mose Clawson and daughter, Ruth; Clint Foreman; Mr. and Mrs. RO Bell, Taylor Clawson, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Clawson, Mr. and Mrs. Herschel Carwile, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Clawson, Mr. and Mrs. W. Grubb, Mrs. Frances Clawson, Miss Anna Clawson, Miss Lorraine Huffer, Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Bethel and daughter, Miss Frances Carwile, Miss Marie Clawson, Charles Clawson, Mrs. Vernie Marquess and son, Mrs. Avolyn Hughes, Mrs. Ida Keefer, Mrs. Ruby King, Helen and Margaret King, RL Keefer, Ben Clawson, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Gumert, Arlie Gumert and Dora Clawson.
