Veedersburg, April 9 (picture)-- On Monday April 11 Mr. and Mrs. WW CHAMBERS will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary at their home in Veedersburg. The couple were married at the home of Attorney Mike White in Crawfordsville on April 11, 1872. At that time Mr. Chambers was employed by Mr. White, a prominent criminal attorney of Crawfordsville. Most of their wedded life has been spent in Montgomery County. However, in recent years they have spent some time in Veedersburg. Mr. Chambers was born Dec 18, 1848 at Pendelton, Indiana the son of William and Nancy Chambers. As a young man, he was employed as a sheet metal worker and today, although 83 he gardens and does all kinds of chores around his home. He enjoys good health. Mrs. Chambers who was Miss Candace McKinsey, was born at Alamo, the daughter of David and Rachel Bryant McKinsey. Her father was a veteran of the War of 1812. She also enjoys splendid health and spends her time quilting and weaving carpets and rugs. They are the parents of 3 children: one daughter, Mrs. Orval Yount of Veedersburg; two sons, C. Earl Chambers of Minneapolis, Mn.; and DO Chambers of Danville, Ill. They have one grandson, William Chambers.
