Covington, Aug 22 – Neal Kirby and sister of Covington, Ind were in Danville last night enroute to Evansville, Ind to attend the bedside of a sister, Mrs. Lou Butts-Gibbons, formerly of Covington, who was last Wednesday shot and wounded by her husband, John Gibbons, who then committed suicide by shooting himself. The particulars of the tragedy were not received by Mr. Kirby. Mrs. Gibbons resided in Covington many years. She married first a man named Butts and lived with him for several years before being divorced and marrying Gibbons. --- kbz
