Strawberry Refrigerator Cake

STRAWBERRY REFRIGERATOR CAKE

This recipe was Della Weir’s of near Alamo and may have come from some type of Alamo Cookbook

1 pkg strawberry jello – dissolve in ¾ C. Boiling water, then add ½ C. Cold water. Set aside.

Mix and bake 1 pkg. Duncan Hines white (or yellow works too) cake mix. Cool cake for 20-25 minutes then pour jello over the cake and refrigerate.

FROSTING: 1 envelope Dream Whip (I use Cool Whip) – 1 pkg instant vanilla pudding -- 1 ½ C. Milk -- 1 tsp vanilla – beat until firm and put on cold cake. If you like strawberries you’ll love this
