Peanut Butter Balls

"Peanut Butter Balls"

Not sure where this one came from, either, but I think from my friend, Linda (Watson) Friars' mother, Frances. She was a VERY good cook and I became an even better cook with some of her recipes.

Melt: 1 Stick Butter

Pour over: 1 Box Powdered Sugar
1, 8-oz. Jar Crunchy Peanut Butter
1 Stick Butter
3 C. Rice Krispies

Push mixture together to make balls.

Melt (in a double boiler):
1 Large Hershey Chocolate Candy Bar (5-6 oz)
a small (6-oz) pkg. Chococolate Chips
1/2 stick paraffin wax

Then dip balls into melted chocolate and set on wax paper until hard!! (Paraffin stabilizes the chocolate, and increases its melting temerature, a process used by dessert chefs to make chocolate handleable. (M&Ms are processed this way.)
