Peanut Blossom Cookies - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Think I got this recipe from my mother-in-law. It too was a favorite of my restaurant rowdies that I fixed Christmas plates for each year.

Sift: 1 3/4 C. Flour

2 tsp. Soda

1/2 tsp. Salt

Cream: 1/2 C. Butter

1/3 C. Peanut Butter

1/2 C. White Sugar

1/2 C. Brown Sugar

Add: 1 Unbeaten Egg 1 tsp. Vanilla Blend in dry ingredients with creamed mixture. Shape into balls. Roll into sugar.

Put on greased cookie sheet Bake at 375 degrees for 8 minutes

Remove cookie sheet and add 1 chocolate kiss on top of each cookie -- pressing it into cookie until it cracks

Return cookies to oven for 3-5 more minutes.
