Milky Way Cake

"Milky Way Cake"

I've always tried to write down where recipes come from, in case I ever have a question about one. I don't remember nor did I write down where this recipe came from, but I've ALWAYS made it. It may have been from my chocolate-loving mother-in-law !! For sure, this one is NOT FOR THE SQUEEMISH!! You MUST be a TRUE chocolate lover to appreciate its RICHNESS!! However, if you like Milky Ways and you LOVE chocolate, then you're going to think this is the VERY BEST cake you've ever tasted!! Karen Z
8 Milky Ways
2 Sticks Butter
1 1/4 C. Sour Milk
1/2 tsp. soda
2 C. Sugar
2 1/2 C. Flour
4 eggs
1 C. Chopped Nuts

Melt candy bars and 1 stick butter. Cream rest of ingredients and add melted, cooled candy mix. Bake 45 minutes in 13 x 9 pan.

Icing 2 1/2 C. Sugar and 1 C. Evaporated Milk

Cook to soft ball!

Add: 6-oz. chocolate chips; 1 C. Marshmallow Creme; 1 stick butter. Stir until melted. The Icing alone is basically chocolate fudge -- see, I told you it was VERY RICH!!!
