Mexican Wedding Cookies

"Mexican Wedding Cookies"

I've had this recipe since I was a tot -- not sure where it came from, though -- perhaps my old neighbor, Zula Pence, who had no children, so adopted me to help her try new things out, or perhaps my Aunt Hulda because I do remember making these with her as a teenager. Anyway, I've tried other recipes for this cookie, but this is the BEST I've found and I've eaten thousands of Mexican Wedding Cookies, so I should know!!!!
Cream:
2 sticks butter, softened
1/2 C. Powdered Sugar

Add: 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Add gradually: 1 3/4 C. Flour

Mix in: 1/2 C. Chopped Nuts

Roll into balls and place on ungreased cookie sheets.

Bake for 15 minutes at 350 degrees.

Immediately remove and roll into powdered sugar before cooling. YUMMMMM! I love to lick my fingers after all is done!!!

These are 2-3 of my grandkids favorite cookies (Stephen still remembers when he was maybe 7-8 and we took some over to the neighbors when her mom died; Dane loves 'em; Reilley does and I think Will and Q is like me, loves everything sweet).
