Chocolate Cookie a Favorite recipe of Isabel Robison Zachary

Mix Together:
1 c. granulated sugar ½ t. baking soda
½ c. shortening ½ t. baking powder
1 whole egg ½ c. sweet milk
4 T. cocoa 1 t. vanilla
1 ¾ c. flour ¼ t. salt
Drop on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350° for 12 minutes for soft cookies, 15 minutes for cake style cookie.
Ice Cream sandwich: Freeze baked cookies. Take softened ice cream and place a scoop between two frozen cookies. Refreeze until ready to eat.
