Caramel Cake
"Caramel Cake"
I'm not real sure where I got this recipe but I'm a REAL Caramel fan (I could live without chocolate, but NOT caramel) and I love it -- if you like caramel, you better try this cake, TODAY!!! Karen Z
1 box brown sugar (2 Cups)
1 C. Butter
1 C. Hot Water -- Mix
Add: 2 C. Flour
1 tsp. soda
2 eggs
dash salt.
Put in 13 x 9 pan and bake for 25 minutes at 350 degrees.
Sprinkle 1 cup pecans on top when cake gets out of oven and cool completely.
Icing -- Melt 1/2 C. Butter; add 2 C. Brown Sugar.
Bring to boil; stir 1 minute or until slightly thick.
Cool slightly -- add 1/4 C. milk beat smooth.
Beat in 3 1/4 C. sifted confect. sugar until of spreading consistency. YUMMY!!!
