Buttermilk Biscuits
BUTTERMILK BISCUITS

By Becky Neideffer – this was her mother’s (Mrs. Clyde M. Spencer) recipe
2 C. Flour
1 T. Baking Powder
1 tsp. salt
½ tsp. Soda
5 T. Shortening
1 C. Buttermilk
Mix dry ingredients and cut in shortening. Add buttermilk. Press out dough or roll out and cut into biscuits. You can roll out dough about 3/8” thick and put two together with a pat of butter in between the two. Bake at 450 degrees for about 12 minutes.
