Bread Pudding

MOTHER’s BREAD PUDDING – by Barbara Taylor

Taken from: Montgomery County Genealogy Society Family Tree Cookbook 1985

Beat 3 Eggs
Add:  ½ C. Sugar – pinch of salt  - ¾ C. Milk and 1 tsp. Vanilla.
Mix well.  Add 3 slices of bread broken into pieces. Pour into a baking dish.  Sprinkle cinnamon over the top and bake at 350 for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until a knife comes out clean.

Sauce:  1 C. Sugar  -- pinch salt  -- 3 T. flour.  Mix well.  Add 1 cup boiling water. Cook  until thick.  Add ½ stick margarine and a tsp. flavoring.  Pour over the hot pudding!
