Sgt. Paul Vermillion, who is now in France, has written his parents, Rev. and Mrs. AL Vermillion that he has been in active combat and has seen the Rhine. He also says he realizes now why boys do not want to talk about the war when they get back home. Sgt. Vermillion went overseas in December after training at Camp Van Dorn, Miss for 18 months.
