Charles Todd enlisted for the duration of the war, being a "skilled lineman and servicement for telegraph and telephone power. He was single when he enlisted on the 19th day of June in 1942 at Indianapolis. Fairly tall and thin (68" and 123 #), he went in as a Pvt First Class and died during the war in France 28 January 1945. He is buried in the Epinal American Cemetery Plot A Row 25, Grave 55. He earned the Purple Heart.
