MILLER, Wayne "Red" - Montgomery InGenWeb Project

Ladoga, Jan 3 - Pfc. Wayne (Red) Miller, 30, lost his left leg in action in the Phillippines, according to a letter recived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Miller of here. The letter was from Pfc Miller and stated that the wound occurred "a few days before" the date of this letter which was dec 18. He said that the leg was shattered near the knee when a shell exploded near him. Pfc Miller, an infantryman has been in the army 3 years and will have been overseas 3 years next April. He has served in Australia, New Guinea, Netherland, East Indies and Phillipines.
