Hedges twins meet

Crawfordsville Aug 19 – Lt. Joseph W. Hedges and Flight Officer John T. Hedges, twin sons of Mr. and Mrs. John V. Hedges of this city, were among 250 aviation cadets from 41 states and the District of Columbia graduated last week from the Blackland Army Airfield at Waco, Tex. Eleven of the 25 were Hoosiers. At the expiration of a leave, which thy are spending at home here the twins will be separated for the first time. Lt. Joe has been assigned to Ft. Worth, Texas where he will pilot a B-24 bomber, preparatory to combat duty. John will return to Waco. The twins have an older brother, Lt. Clay W. Hedges, a bomber pilot with the 8th Army Air Force in England who has just been awarded the Distinguished Flying cross.
