Hawaii - Ristine, Herron, McIntyre, Suverkrup

Crawfordsville Dec 9 – Two members of prominent Crawfordsville families are stationed in Hawaii at Schofield barracks. They are Colonel Harold Ristine, son of Dr. Warren H. Ristine, 91-year-old retired physician here and John Herron, son of General Charles D. Herron, retired former commanding officer of the armed force in Hawaii. Colonel Ristine, a graduate of Wabash College, enlisted was married a year ago and has a two-week-old child. John C. McIntyre, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ira McIntyre, of this city is a gun pointer on the USS Virginia at Hawaii. Howard Suverkrup, son of Dr. and Mrs. BF Suverkrup of Crawfordsville, who formerly was with the USS Oklahoma as an aerial photographer was recently transferred to the USS Oregon.
