CLOUSER, Marvin J.
CLOUSER, Marvin J. -- son of born March 28, 1921, to the late Marion and Nancy Agnes (Maguire) Clouser in Bowers, Indiana. He lived there in 1940 census but when returned home spent the rest of the time in Clinton County. His wife was Lorene Fleming. He passed away in Mulberry at a retirement home on April 19, 2012. He is buried there in Colfax, Indiana.
He was in the 358th General Services Regiment, attached to the Engineer Special Brigade of the 1st U.S. Army. He was part of the first wave D-day invasion of Normandy Beach. For his service he was awarded four bronze stars and a proclamation from the Mayor of Antwerp, Belgium for 175 consecutive days served under v-bomb attack. It is not 100% certain what county he was registered out of as I can't find any war records (probably spelling).
