Roger Grafton of Indianapolis, formerly of Bedford, IN, died Thursday, April 11, 2001, at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis.  Born on June 9, 1914, in Bedford, IN, and she survives. Surviving with his wife are four daughters:  Marthanne McDowell of Fishers, IN, Virginia Sue Humphrey of Kentland, IN, Margaret Ellison of Houston, TX, and Merrilou Luse of Scottsburg; one son, Robert O. Grafton of Indian Springs, IN; one brother, John Robert Grafton of Ocala, FL; one sister, Martha Louis Crouch of Bedford, IN; seventeen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.  For several years he was the owner of the Army Surplus Store in Bedford, Grafton's Bicycle Shop and Dues Indiana, Inc. and retired in 1981.  He was a 30-year member of Bedford Masonic Lodge No. 14, F&AM. There will be graveside services for Roger Grafton at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 14th, Lowder Cemetery near Springville.  Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday at G.H. Herrmann Funeral Home in Greenwood.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Kidney Foundation or to the Popcorn Christian Church. TIMES MAIL 2001
