Covington, Ind Dec 6 – A message was received in this city by relatives telling of the death of Mrs. Della Rich at her home in Cincinnati. Mrs. Rich was formerly Miss Della Phebus of the city. She underwent a serious operation some time ago and it is thought that her death was a result of this. Her brothers, Ed, Fred and Charles Phebus left at once for Cincinnati where the funeral services were to be held. For some time she owned and managed the Tremont Hotel here and it was while managing that business that she met Mr. Rich who is a prominent manufacturer. They have spent the winters in Hot Springs, Ark.

Thanks so much to the Indiana Album of pastperfectonline for the photo - the hotel stood at the SE Corner of Union and 3rd Street in Covington for probably close to 100 years and today (after burning in the 1990s when it had been converted into apartments) is an empty lot (2021)
