Ratcliff - OB, attorney

OB Ratcliff, Covington attorney has purchased from the Bergdahl estate the business lot on the south side of the public square, recently purchased by John P. Brissey, attorney for an office building. Mr. Ratcliff plans to erect a modern fire-proof office building for a ground floor, law office and library.
Oakley Store interests purchased the Dr. Lambright building on the southwest corner of the square, now occupied by the Harden Motor Company. The building will be remodeled. The upper floor will be occupied by Covington’s new garment factory. Harden has purchased the old McGeorge Buildings and they are now being remodeled into a modern sales room, garage and service station. Joyce Campbell has moved the implement store to the corner room which he recently purchased and the Coffing Apple Store has been moved two doors east.
Ed Albea, who recently purchased the Morgan building on the east side of the square, now occupied by the Oakley store will move his barber shop there. The Heeman building, formerly occupied by the courthouse offices and the Albea Barber Shop has been leased by Roscoe Sprague who will open a variety store.
Mrs. Alta Livengood has purchased the old Harter residence property from Attorney John P. Brissey.
