CHAMBERS RANGE - 1948

Mr. Art Scheffer, sales manager of the Chambers corporation and 27 Chambers range salesman visited Veedersburg Tuesday and observed first hand how the castings were made for the product they sell. Of the visitors at the Foundry, 21 were from Texas and flew into Indianapolis as winners of a sales contest recently held in Houston, Corpus Christie and Beaumont. The boys made the trip from Houston in a chartered DC-3 and were joined in Indianapolis by 6 sales supervisors for the remainder of the 3-day Hoosier excursion. The trip included tours through the Chambers factories at Shelbyville and Veedersburg where the famous ranges are manufactured. They enjoyed a luncheon in the Methodist Church basement served by the WSCS and all agreed that the Veedersburg hospitality matched the best traditions of the Hoosier state.
