Messrs Brown & Basecomb’s stock of groceries have not yet arrived. They were shipped from New York in time to have reached here but owing to the demand for freight boats on the lakes they have undoubtedly been detail but in the meantime we would advise our country friends to keep a sharp look out for them as they are anxiously expected every minute. --– kbz
