Attica Paper Mill

A paper mill is among the improvements which will be added to Attica, this state during the next year. Dr. JH Wright of Rockville is going to erect the mill and Attica gives him a bonus of 34,000 in cash and four acres of land. Some months ago the live citizens of Attica determined that something should be done to advance the manufacturing interests of that place and the first step was to appoint a committee called the Business Encouragement Association and composed of the leading men of the town. It was made the duty of this committee to look closely after parties seeking a location to engage in manufacturing and hold out inducements to all such to come to Attica. The committee has labored with great zeal and energy and on the result of its labors, Attica’s manufacturing interests are now double what they were a year ago. If Noblesville follows Attica’s example there is no doubt but that in a few years she would be enabled to take rank as a manufacturing point. - kbz
