Williamson Anniversary

Jamestown Press
Jamestown, [Boone County] Indiana
Friday, 26 April 1901 page 1

W. R. and Martha A. WILLIAMSON reached their 57 anniversary of their marriage last Sunday, and both have fairly good health and are enjoying each other's company as they did in the early stages of their married life. Both came to this state from Virginia. Mrs. WILLIAMSON, whose maiden name was GOSE, came to this county with her parents in 1831, and Mr. WILLIAMSON came in the year 1842, riding through on horse back. Mrs. WILLIAMSON settled with her parents an the farm now owned by James K. HENRY, at which place she was married to Mr. WILLIAMSON, April 21, 1844. They commenced life together on a farm near here and succeeded well in their undertakings. About seven years ago Uncle Hank and Aunt Martha moved to Jamestown, where they have resided ever since. They have long been members of the M. E. Church which they attend faithfully. Their only son, Thomas E. is living in Washington D. C. with his wife and son, where he has the position in the pension department. May Uncle Hank and Aunt Martha live to enjoy many more wedding anniversaries.
