After 40 Years

Quite an interesting occasion was enjoyed at Mr. Nicholas Click's four miles north of Lebanon, on the 25 inst., that being the 40th anniversary of the marriage of Mr. and Mrs. Click. Nine of their ten children were present to enjoy the event. Besides the family, thirty-three adult neighbors and friends and ten children partook of a bountiful dinner. The disagreeable day did not in the least mar the enjoyment of those present. Vocal and instrumental music enlivened the occasion for all, and the younger engaged in amusements. Each guest took part in the festivities and especially done honor to the table comforts spread before them. Several valuable presents were given to Mr. and Mrs. C. and were highly appreciated. Mr. and Mrs. Click were married in Washington county in 1844, and moved to Boone county in 1856. We tender them our congratulations, and wish them a happy old age.
