Poem by David Dunlap Cohee ~ 1853-1934

Sunday Oct 1st, 1933

Today I can celebrate
My eightieth anniversary.
I have reached
My four score:
I haven't the promise
Of another day,
But God may permit
Me to live many more.
Have I lived an honerable[sic] life
As God desired I should
Or has my life been
Lived in vane
As the devil wished it should.

D. D. Cohee
