Mr. and Mrs. Arthur N. Wood of Route 2, Spencer, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Sunday, December 14, with an open house from 1:30 to 4 o'clock in the American Legion Home at Cloverdale.
They were married on December 14, 1919, at Greencastle, in the Christian Church parsonage by the late Dr. Levi Marshall. Mrs. Wood was formerly Thelma McMurtrey of Russellville. They were both born and raised in Putnam County. He is retired and a veteran of World War I.
They are the parents of seven children: Pauline, and Dorothy Clodfelter, both deceased;
George, Max, Marvin, Mrs. Doyle (Ruth) Smith and Mrs. Hubert (Louise) Spencer. They also have ten grandchildren and two great-grandsons.
All friends and relatives of the couple are welcome to attend the open house.
