The Torr family held their first reunion in 33 years on Sunday at Robe Ann Park.  One hundred and thirteen were present.  The first Torr reunion was held Sept 12, 1899 in a grove on the WL Torr farm five miles southwest of Greencastle, near Oakalla with several coming from a distance.  The last one was held in July, 1933 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Stoner on the old Torr homestead. Some of those from out of state who attended the reunion last Sunday were from Dayton, Ohio, NY City, St. Louis, Mo, Tulsa, Okla, Clarkston and Sturgis, Mich, Louisville, Ky and Fairmount, Ill.  Officers elected for the coming year were John Torr, president and Mrs. Bob Rissler, sec-treas. The first Torr to arrive in America came in 1695 from England and settled in New Hampshire. William Torr arrived in America in 1726 from England. The first Torr to arrive in Putnam County was in 1828.
