A large number of relative and friends and Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Sharp surprised them Saturday afternoon and evening to help celebrate their golden wedding anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. Sharp have lived at 101 Olive Street for most of their married life. They were married June 19, 1904 in the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Knoll, about 5 miles south of Reelsville by the Rev. Manford Wright, student pastor at Reelsville Methodist Church at that time. previous to her marriage Mrs. Sharp taught in the Washington Twp schools 8 years. Mr. Sharp was employed as a printer for 8 years. On aug 15, 1905 he began working as delivery and pick up man for the Home Steam Laundry which is now the Home Laundry & Cleaners. He continued this work 41 years and at the present time is doing office work at the same place. Mr. and mrs. Sharp are active members of the Gobin Memorial Church and formerly were members of the Locust Street Methdoist. They received many lovely gifts, flowers and greetings which they appreciated very much.
