Danville, Ill Nov 23 – Three Anderson (Ind) women were held today as officers continued the search for their three men companions, believed to be the three bandits who robbed the Carbon Ind Bank of $1,000 Wednesday. The men escaped on foot after their automobile mired in the mud a few miles from Danville yesterday while they were being pursued. Later they were said to have hired cars in which to continue their flight. Indiana state police said the men are believed to be Everett Kocher, age 28; Robert Rice, age 30 and Wallace Brady or WL Briner, age 26 all sought for various Indiana robberies. The women held identified themselves as Peggy and Lillian Hughes, sisters and Bessie Patterson, age 23 all of Anderson. Officers said they refused to talk about their companions. – kbz
