The Methodist Orphanage has received three more children. They are Shirley Davidson, age 9; Augusta Davidson, age 6 and Alice Davidson, age 4 all of Bedford, Ind. The children arrived here Saturday evening and the two older ones started to School Wednesday. The orphanage is progressing nicely but is still in need of some few necessities. A few chairs, either straight or rocking chairs, would be appreciated --- kbz

The Methodist Orphanage opened here
under the supervision of Miss Angie Godwin is now ready to receive orphans.
This announcement was made this morning by Miss Godwin. Already many inquiries
have been received from over the state, regarding the admittance of orphans.
Miss Godwin will give all information regarding the necessary arrangements to
any who desire information. Miss
Florence Weir, of Jeffersonville a stenographer, who will be employed in the
institution, arrived here today to take up her new duties. Miss Godwin is anxious
that the orphanage be completely equipped as soon as possible and any gifts of
furniture, groceries or money will be gladly received. The residence on Poplar
Street, just west of the Christian Church, has been secured as a temporary
orphanage.
