At Cloverdale last Saturday John Brown and Joe McCurry, two boys of that village attempted to cross the Monon tracks in front of an approaching train, the regular express. They were in a one horse top buggy and did not see the Cars. The engine of the train struck the horse and carried it and Brown about one hundred feet up the track, killing the horse and wrecking the buggy, but leaving Brown uninjured. McCurry jumped when he saw the train and was unhurt.
