Taken Up -- by William LAYNE, Warren Township, Putnam Co, Ia, two estray horse creatures, one brown mare, supposed to be 3 years old, about 14 hands and a half high, deficient in her right fore foot, no other grands or marks perceivable; appraised at $20. One bay colt supposed to be one year old, a blaze in his face, two hind feet white; appraised to $8 by William McCartey and John Patrick. This is a true copy from my estray book, June 20th 1837.
