Source: Daily Greencastle Banner & Times 30 Jan 1894 p 2

Adolphus, better known as Bert Kelly was before Squire Ashton this morning on a charge of bastardy preferred by Mrs. Carrie Vaughn. Kelly is proprietor of the quart join in south Greencastle, sometimes known as Oklahoma and had been in the bastille for several days as the case was postponed last week.  Upon the call of time this morning there was no prosecuting witness she failed to toe the mark and the case was thrown out of court by his honor.  Kelly and a number of his friends were present and they received the result with apparent satisfaction.
