Greencastle, Jan 20 – Robert Johnson of Roachdale almost killed his mother in a maniacal frenzy yesterday afternoon in her home and then fled from the house, pursued by a crowd of neighbors, who had been attracted to the place by the cries of the aged woman. The insane man was chased for miles through the brush in bare feet and almost without clothing but was finally captured. The sheriff brought him to this city and he is now in jail.
