Hughes, Robt - loses eye - Putnam

Mr. Robert Hughes who has long been suffering from a diseased eye underwent a surgical operation on Monday the result of which was the removal of the diseased member. The operation was resorted to save the sight of the other eye which became sore and inflamed from sympathy with its diseased fellow. It is hope the other eye will be saved.
