James Daggy, the efficient superintendent of Forest Hill cemetery since he has been engaged there has put the grounds in an excellent condition all around, so that next summer the cemetery will be the most beautiful of any in the state in a small city. Mr. Daggy has furnished the following statistics concerning interments: the first person buried at Forest Hill cemetery was John McKee in Sept. 1865. Since then and up to January 1894, there have been 1,517 interments at Forest Hill. In this number are included the remains of all persons who have been brought here from other places and those removed from the old county and other cemeteries to Forest Hill, making a yearly average of 53 46 85 (sic) and a monthly average of 4 157-340 (sic). In the past 7 months there have been 55 interments, of whom 42 have died in the city, 5 in the county and 8 brought in from different places.- kbz
