Detro-Crawley accident

Charley Crawley, RR carrier on Greencastle No 5 was slightly
injured at near 10:45 o’clock Saturday morning in a collision between his
automobile and a car drive by Roy Detro of near Morton. The accident occurred
at Brick Chapel about 4 miles north of Greencastle. Mr. Crawley was badly
jarred in the collision but it is believed his injuries will not result
seriously. Mr. Detro was not seriously injured. Both automobiles were wrecked.
The rural route carrier was going east on the cross road at Brick Chapel and
the car drive by Detro was coming south toward Greencastle on State Road 43.
The two cars crashed together about the center of the road intersection. Paul
Frazier, an extra rural route carrier was sent to Brick Chapel by the
postmaster to continue distrubtion of the mail. - kbz
