Christy, JB - birthday - Putnam

The 94th birthday anniversary of JB Christy, a pioneer resident of Putnam County was observed Feb 17th at the home 3 miles east of the city. Mr. Christie came here with his father from Virginia and the latter entered land in Greencastle township.  He has made his home on the same farm east of the city since his arrival in this vicinity.  Mr. Christie is in a fairly good state of health and expects to enjoy a number of birthday celebrations.  He is a Democrat and is one of the best known residents of the county. - kz
