The Rev. Asa Beck in his 80th year, an honored member of the Indiana Conference and his good wife in her 74th year celebrated the 50th anniversary of their marriage on the evening of the 8th inst at the residence of their son-in-law, JK Langdon, Esq Greencastle, Ind. It was a quiet, Christian gathering, only relatives and a few intimate friends being present, among the latter Dr. Martin and Prof. McNutt, of Indiana Asbury University. The evening was spent in cheerful conversation, recounting amusing and touching reminiscenses of those early pioneer times which are fast becoming traditionary to the present generation. An elegant supper was provided and the aged couple, without previous concert were made the happy recipients of a purse of golden coins.

The golden wedding of Rev. Asa Beck and wife was celebrated at the residence of his son-in-law, JK Langdon Friday evening. During the evening a purse of gold was presented to the venerable couple. Mr. Beck is in his 80th year and Mrs. Beck in her 74th. May they live to enjoy many other anniversaries of their happy union.
