1890 Census Report for Putnam County - Putnam

The census office at Washington yesterday completed the count of the 4th and final district of Indiana.  Putnam County comes under this district and the official figures of the county also the city of Greencastle are given.  The population of Greencastle is exactly four thousand three hundred and eighty-six souls. An increase of seven hundred and forty over the census of 1880.  Putnam County shows a population of 22,327 a falling off of 174 since 1880.    ---kbz
