– From Waynetown – I believe the Democrats of this township will vote for Greeley & Brown if they are adopted by the Baltimore convention with the exception of two, William Philips and Daniel Merrill, who will vote for Grant & Brown “rather than worst” the matter. The old Republicans stand firm in the cause of their country as they did from 1860-66.
