Stuart - TA - death announcement gone wrong

T. A. Stuart, whose death was announced in The Journal last Saturday in a special from Lafayette, did not “drop” dead as stated. The cause of his death was heart failure super induced by intermittent fever, and while he had been ill for several days, his demise was entirely expected. We make this correction in justice to the transmitter of the dispatch. -s
