Albert S. Miller and Geo. B. Brown
patentees of a new driving mechanism for chainless wheels, received word from
their attorneys at Washington today to the effect that their model has been
duly examined and their application for a patent granted. They will place it upon the market at once
and the contrivance, a practical as well as a very ingenious one will be seen
in operation during the coming season. They have already had overtures from
some of the leading bicycle manufacturers of the country who are anxious to
introduce the invention giving the patentees a royalty. It should and doubtless
will yield them handsome returns.
