Darlington – Our Old Folks
*Mrs. WK Booher born May 10, 1821. (in Ky) – this is Artimesa Endicott daughter of William Endicott and Artimesa Strain.
*Mary Booher, born June 30, 1835 in Ohio; has lived in this state 62 years.
*Wm. K. Booher, born March 29, 1817 in the State of Tenn; has lived in state 50 years.
*Mrs. Chris Bowman born Aug 12, 1824 in Union County, Ohio (Lucinda Beck)
*Christopher Bowman, born Jan 16, 1816 in Augusta County, Virinia; lived in Indiana 60 years.
*Catherine Burton is the spryest old lady in town; cannot give her exact birthday but she is keeping house for her son Matt during her own work and claims her age to be 103 years. While she is undoubtedly nearing her century mark her children think she lacks a few years of it yet!
*Alfred Clouser, living east of town is in his 73d year.
*Sally Coats was born March 19, 1804 in North Carolina; has been here many years and is a hale, hearty old lady of 93 years.
*Samuel Conn, born Aug 25, 1821 in Union County, Indiana perhaps one of the most eccentric and old fashioned men in the state today.
*Isaac N. Cox born Aug 27, 1824 in Randolph County, Indiana
*William Cox, born July 21, 1814 in Wayne County, Indiana. Born and reared a Quaker and still retains his membership in that church. Although one of our oldest and wealthiest men he still continues to work daily on the farm regardless of the weather and bids fair to live many years yet.
*Reuben Faust, born Jan 1, 1817; has lived here nearly all his life.
*John Guntle, born Sept 2, 1821 in Butler County, Ohio.
*George Guntle, born July 29, 1823 in Butler County, Ohio.
*James F. Hall, born Nov 25, 1816 in Newberry County, SC; has been in this state 77 years; served one term as county commissioner. He is now compelled to walk with a crutch from paralysis.
*William G. Harland, born Sept 10, 1819 in Green County, Ohio; in this state 73 years.
*John F. Harris born Feb 24, 1827 in Boutetourt VA in the state 61 years.
*Silas Hiatt, born Aug 5, 1823 in Montgomery County; now claims to be the oldest native born living in this county. His wife, Mrs. Hiatt (Elzira Booher) born Nov 25, 1824 and do more work than Silas.
*John Hulet born April 12, 1815 in Mason County, Kentucky; has lived in the state 50 years.
*George Lafollette, born Oct 5, 1824 has resided in the state 70 years.
*Hannah Mikels, born Sept 1, 1825, in Green County, Ohio; has been in this count 62 years.
*Jeremiah Mote born Feb 13, 1820.
*William Mullen, born Aug 10, 1825 in Bourbon County, Kentucky; resident of the State 62 years.
*Dr. IEG Naylor born Oct 9, 1819 in Charleston, Clark County, Indiana.
*Frances Pritchard born Aug 29, 1825 in North Carolina; has been in the state 70 years.
*Trueblood Pritchard, born Jan 31, 1825 in Washington County, Indiana.
*John M. Sellers, born Feb 3, 1822 in Harrison County, Kentucky; resident of state 69 years.
*Hannah Wisehart, living west of town is in her 82d year in fair health and fair prospects of life yet.
