SH Gregg has received his letters patent on a post hole digger, the application for which has been pending since March 24. The improved post hole digger digs square or rectangular post holes, and has its jaws formed with back plates and side plates, the back plates being flat and straight and the side plates being projected inwardly from the back plates at about right angles thereto, and tapered at their edges to a point terminating at the lower edges of the back plates. The jaws are pivoted together in such manner that when the jaws are open the back plates will be parallel with each other. Mr. Gregg has a valuable invention and already has received proposition for its purpose
