Davidson - Judge - rock at Oak Hill

Source: Crawfordsville Review 20 Oct 1894 p 9

The large boulder, weighing probably 12 tons which was removed from the bank of Sugar Creek at Indiana Ford and carried to Oak Hill Cemetery was placed in position at the head of the grave of the late Judge Davidson on Monday of this week.  The work of moving this large stone was accomplished without accident to person or to property of any kind along the route, and in crossing the bridge over Sugar Creek not a plank was broken nor split. The sum of $125 was paid for the work of removal. The stone is of the very hardest kind of material and it is very questionable if with the ordinary chisels in use an inscription could be placed upon it.

AND HERE IT IS :)
