Booher hardware - Darlington

Alva Warren has purchased the building and fixtures of the A&L Booher Hardware Store. For the present Mr. Booher will continue to operate the Hardware at the same location. Mr. Warren expects to assume management of the store when he is discharged from the Army at which time Mr. Booher will retire from business. Mr. Booher is the oldest business man in Darlington, having started in the hardware business in 1880, associated with his father, the late Ira Booher. In 1890 he purchased the business and has continued to operate it since that time. Mr. Warren announces that he expects to operate a general hardware business.
